Steak 'N Shake In Chicago
You'll no longer have to head outside the city for the beloved chain
Pretty soon, University of Illinois alumni won't have to make the trip back to Champaign to relive the late nights spent at Steak 'n Shake.
The chain restaurant, best known for its signature Double Steakburgers, crispy seasoned fries and hand-dipped milkshakes, announced on Facebook it would be opening its first location inside the city. Though further details—including an opening date—have yet to be revealed, the Chicago Tribune points out that despite being founded in Illinois, Steak 'n Shake has traditionally stuck to suburban locations outside Chicago.
With the recent opening of Small Cheval's location in Old Town, Windy City residents will have no shortage of burger options to choose from this year.
