'Bon Appétit' Names 50 Finalists For Best New Restaurant
Picking the 50 best new restaurants in America isn't an easy task. For months, Bon Appétit editors Andrew Knowlton and Julia Kramer traveled around the country eating sometimes three meals a night. (Sound like a dream? Trust us, it's harder than you think.)
All that eating has paid off. Bon Appétit's annual list of the 50 finalists for best new restaurants has just dropped. The list, which spans the entire country, includes the much buzzed-about Wildair and Superiority Burger in New York and Grant Achatz's newest project, Roister, in Chicago, as well as Baroo in L.A. and Jeremiah Langhorne's new Mid-Atlantic restaurant, The Dabney, in Washington D.C.

Bon App does readers a favor and includes insider information that's helpful to have if you are fortunate enough to find yourself at one of these restaurants, like lesser-known gem South Philly Barbacoa, which only serves its namesake dish on the weekends, and Seattle's Little Uncle, which serves an exceptional rendition of pad Thai and khao soi and sells its own homemade condiments by the register.

We have a pro tip to add: Go now. Restaurants that make this list book up quicker than lightning. The final Hot 10 list is released August 16.
