The Best Thing I've Ever Eaten: Blogger Edition

Food bloggers share the one dish they can't stop thinking about

Let's set the scene: You're seated at a table in a restaurant, taking in the atmosphere and waiting patiently for your food, when suddenly your waiter appears like a heavenly vision with the most beautiful, fragrant dish you've ever seen. You take a bite (and then more bites), devouring a plate of food you know you won't be able to stop thinking about for years to come.

We've all been there, and it's one of the best feelings in the world. But if you're a food influencer, you probably get to experience that feeling a lot more often than the average person. We asked a few of these expert eaters to think back to the best thing they've ever eaten, and they did not disappoint.

Feast your eyes and ears on these culinary life changers and hopefully try a few on the list for yourself.

"I was at Speedy Romeo and ate their special Speedy Romeo pie—I've been dreaming about it ever since. It's a grilled pizza topped with ricotta, heirloom tomatoes, olive oil, lemon juice and zest, and red chile flakes. Your taste buds go into sensory overload with the balance of acidity, heat, saltiness and natural sweetness from the tomatoes. The perfect summer pie!" —Jeremy Jacobowitz, @brunchboys

"I ate at Quince in San Francisco, and one of the courses featured delicate corn-stuffed tortellini served in a hollowed-out rolling pin. We were given kitchen tweezers to pluck each individual folded pasta onto our plate. They were as simple as they were divine." Danielle Walsh, @wandereatrepeat

"I went to Convivial in D.C., and I tried their fried chicken coq au vin. The chicken was so jam-packed with amazing flavors and is really unlike anything I've ever tried. It's probably my favorite fried chicken in the city!" Alicia Chew, @aliciatenise

"There is a farm-to-table restaurant around the corner from my Astoria apartment called Milk Flower, which serves a shishito pepper appetizer I can't get enough of. The peppers are blistered with sea salt and served with a side of cracked pepper aioli (a godsend, should you stumble upon the one pepper on the plate that is beyond spicy). I love the simplicity of the dish." Nikki Vargas, @pinthemapproject

"I am on a bit of a burrito binge at the moment. The crispy chicken burrito smothered in Japanese curry at HRD in San Francisco—lord, have mercy." Marisel Salazar, @breadbutternyc

"I had Nutella beignets from Loosie's Kitchen in Williamsburg, and they were hands-down one of the best things I've eaten. Fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and almost gooey on the inside, and made complete with a generous drizzle of Nutella and powdered sugar. I would make the trek back to Brooklyn just for them." Gracie Gordon, @hungry.blonde
