Drink The Season

Spiked, mulled or stirred — the holidays are incomplete without booze. From welcoming guests to the table, to winding down after the party ends, here's a list of concoctions to consult.

Fizzy:
Old Fashioned fans will savor this
tumbler of shaken rye, maple syrup and lemon juice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Wine:
No festive Yuletide bash is complete without
glogg — a Scandinavian wine spiked with vodka and brewed with mulling spices.

Hot Chocolate:
Chocolate and liquor — is there a better pairing on this earth? Warm up a cup of arbol chile and cayenne pepper infused
hot cocoa for a sippable dessert.

Coffee Hour:
Coffee, rum and a blend of spices (cinnamon, clove, allspice) will perfectly accent any and all holiday sweets.

Nightcap:
Mom always gave you
hot milk before bed. Now that you're all grown up, feel free to spike that with some brandy and rum.
