Krispy Kreme And M&M'S Collaborate For 4 Brand New Donuts

When the light that signals a batch of fresh-from-the-fryer donuts are ready switches on at Krispy Kreme today, there will be even more difficult choices to make. That's because joining its lineup of glazed, dipped, sprinkled, and creme-filled donuts are four new ones created in collaboration with M&M maker, Mars Wrigley, according to a press release.

In a bit of a twofer — Krispy Kreme is offering a standard and miniature-sized Original Glazed that's hand-dipped in chocolate with a crown of rainbow sprinkles and mini M&M's. The third is targeted specifically at lovers of PB, as the donut shop is offering what it's dubbing the Peanut Butter Kreme, which will sport peanut butter icing, crushed Peanut M&M's, rainbow sprinkles, and a drizzle of chocolate. And for those who just can't get enough of the candy that "melts in your mouth, not in your hand," there is the Chocolate Candy Surprise Doughnut. A nod to classic red M&M's, this donut is filled to the brim with the coated chocolate candies, covered in red icing, and adorned with the classic "M."

The new donuts are only available until August 6, so Krispy Kreme is making getting your hands on them as easy as can be. Those who place their order for donuts in the M&M's collection through July 20th using the Krispy Kreme app will get free delivery. The three variations will be available in-store and online individually and in special packs so that you can try them all. They'll also be rolling out in select stores such as Wal-Mart, Publix, Wakefern, Food Lion, and Kroger in six-packs. And if you feel like filling a box to the brim with the Mini Original Glazed, you'll be able to fit a whopping 16 in there!

This isn't the first time Krispy Kreme has collaborated with another maker of sweet treats to create a custom donut. Back in January, it introduced stateside, a trio of donuts created with Lotus Biscoff, makers of the popular Biscoff cookie and cookie butter. This included a Biscoff Cookie Butter Iced Doughnut, a Cookie Butter Cheesecake Doughnut, and Cookie Butter Kreme-filled Doughnut.
