Betty Crocker Just Released A List Of The Top Holiday Recipes Across The US

One of the clearest signs of the holidays is the increase of baked goods overflowing from kitchens across the nation. We usher in Christmas time by creating family memories and delicious traditions centered around both sweet indulgences and savory treats. According to a survey by Nielsen Massey, nearly 60% of Millennials bake around the holidays as a way to spend time with loved ones. Whether it's gingerbread cookies or Nutella Pinwheels, so many of us can count on appetizing smells to fill our homes and invite us to take another tasty bite.

This year, Betty Crocker is encouraging eager home cooks to kick off the holiday baking season by browsing the most searched holiday recipes on their website. According to a press release, the compilation of recipes was constructed from search data between October 2021 and December 2021 and sorted by state.

What better way to find inspiration for your own holiday recipe plan than to see what the most popular recipes in your region have been?

Unique inspiration from all over

Think of it as a country-wide recipe swap: Betty Crocker's list is a great opportunity to discover a new recipe that may be widespread in a different region but may not be something you would normally make as a part of your holiday get-togethers.

Some examples of sweet treats include Honey Bun Cake topping the searches in Kentucky, Gingerbread Pancakes in Washington, and Cake Mix Gooey Butter Cookies in Missouri. On the savory side, winners included a Cheese Ball in Indiana, Chicken Orzo Soup in New Jersey, and Ham and Scalloped Potatoes in North Dakota. While there was no overall winner for the most popular holiday recipe overall, it's safe to say with a list as diverse and delicious as this one, the biggest winners are whoever can get to the kitchen first before the next plate of treats is devoured!
