McCormick Wants To Help You Avoid Bland Holiday Meals With Spice Set Giveaway

Traditional holiday foods are full of flavor and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger, allspice, and peppermint. Recognizing the need for home cooks to have a well-stocked spice rack, McCormick will give away a spice set that will help every level of cook prepare meals this holiday season, according to a press release from the company. Called The TEN, McCormick's spice set includes basil leaves, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, parsley flakes, and crushed red pepper. When the spice kit was designed, importance was placed on being able to organize and store it, which is helpful because storing spices properly is essential for maintaining their freshness and flavor. As an added bonus, McCormick has also included a QR code in the kit which links to exclusive recipes.

"Selecting a thoughtful gift and preparing a delicious, home-cooked meal are two ways we show loved ones we care," said Nikki French, group VP of marketing, NA Consumer Products Division for McCormick. "With the introduction of The TEN, we have combined the two — packaging the gift of flavor for many meals to come."

How you can get your hands on The TEN kit

Starting November 17, McCormick will begin its "Ten Days of Holiday Gifting," during which 500 The Ten spice kits will be given away on their website. These special spice kits will also be gift-wrapped with cinnamon-scented paper.

For those wishing to purchase The Ten spice kit, it is being sold online for $34.99. However, there will also be the opportunity to receive a free The Ten kit in person at select locations on Black Friday, November 25, in Los Angeles and Brooklyn. The in-person giveaways will also include spiced hot chocolate and cinnamon sugar cookies that were baked with spices found in the spice kit. McCormick has also partnered with Keke Palmer, an actress, singer, and television personality, to promote the spice set. As part of the spice kit promotion, Palmer is sharing her recipe for Veggie Bacon Quiche.
