Starbucks 2022 Holiday Menu Features An All New Treat
Each year as the holiday season approaches, Starbucks fanatics eagerly await the news of what new menu items the coffee chain will be adding. Classic drinks like the Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Brulée Latte almost always make an appearance, but the coffee chain often adds new items alongside the usuals. Last year, Starbucks added the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond milk Latte to its lineup, and its popularity solidified its spot on this year's menu as well.
Starbucks first started serving up drinks in festive-themed cups around the holidays in 1997, according to The Washington Post. Along with festive drinks, Starbucks often adds holiday-themed treats to its bakery menu as well. As the coffee chain celebrates 25 years of its iconic holiday cups, Starbucks announced that it will be adding a new holiday treat to its lineup alongside the expected classics. The holiday menu will be served at participating locations starting Wednesday, November 3.
A few classics arrive alongside a new treat
This year, Starbucks announced on its website that it is introducing the Chocolate Pistachio Swirl to its holiday menu. This new treat is made from brioche-inspired dough, rolled up with a chocolate filling. Hints of cinnamon and coffee flavors are also added to the chocolate base, mint chocolate chips will be rolled into the dough, and the whole pastry will be topped off with chopped pistachios.
Several treats from previous years will also be returning, including the Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, which features spiced sugar plum spread on top of cream cheese inside a Danish pastry. The Cranberry Bliss Bar is a blondie cake and cranberry base, topped with cream cheese icing, dried cranberries, and orange zest.
If you're craving something sweeter, the Reindeer Cake Pop will also be making its return. It is a vanilla cake pop coated in chocolate icing, decorated with a red icing nose and chocolate antlers for festive fun. And, of course, the classic Snowman Cookie will be back, featuring a buttery shortbread cookie coated in white chocolate icing. These treats will only be available for a limited time and while supplies last, so hurry into Starbucks for some holiday fun!
