Starbucks Is Bringing Back 6 Festive Drinks To Its 2022 Holiday Menu

As people's attention begins to turn to the holiday season, Starbucks has announced it is bringing back six festive drinks for 2022, including one special drink that will mark its 20th year delighting taste buds.

It's been a slow build-up to the coffee purveyor's 2022 announcement of its seasonal beverages. The Starbucks 2022 holiday menu was first leaked in September. In October, Starbucks unveiled its reusable holiday cup lineup, which included a variety of options, from festive patterns to funky textures. At the time, the chain also announced an all-new at-home coffee flavor for the holidays, gingerbread, that would be joining its classic Holiday Blend and popular Peppermint Mocha.

Along with the 2022 holiday menu lineup, Starbucks unveiled its new red cup design, which will be keeping its festive drinks hot. The iconic red cups are making their return to the coffee chain for the 25th year. Some special seasonal snacks will also be available from Starbucks, including returning favorites like the Reindeer Cake Pop, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, and Snowman Cookie.

The six returning Starbucks drinks

Starting November 3, the first sips of Starbucks 2022 holiday drinks will be taken by excited fans ready to get in the festive spirit. The 2022 season will be the 20th year that Starbucks offers up its Peppermint Mocha, which will join five other special drinks returning to Starbucks menus across the U.S.: Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Irish Cream Cold Brew, and the nondairy Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte (via Starbucks).

As dedicated fans of Starbucks' holiday offerings know, its Peppermint Mocha is made of espresso, steamed milk, mocha sauce, and peppermint-flavored syrup, served with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. Also espresso-based are returning favorites Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. Made with a caramel brulée sauce, the Caramel Brulée Latte also includes a caramel brulée candy topping and whipped cream. Incorporating the flavors of caramelized chestnuts and spices, the Chestnut Praline Latte is topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs. Starbucks' Toasted White Chocolate Mocha features caramelized white chocolate mocha sauce and is finished with whipped cream and a topping of holiday sugar sparkles and crispy white pearls, while the Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte is made of sugar cookie syrup, blonde espresso, ice, almondmilk, and red and green sprinkles.

Finally, the only non-espresso-based drink on the 2022 holiday menu is the Irish Cream Cold Brew, which is made of cold brew with Irish cream syrup, vanilla sweet cream foam, and a little cocoa powder on top. Happy Starbucks holiday menu season to all who celebrate!
