Essentia Water And House Wine's Collab Box Aims To Stop Holiday Hangovers

Let's set the scene: You're at the office holiday party and realize a little too late that you've had one too many glasses of holiday cheer. Statistically speaking, there's probably a good chance you know what we're talking about. In 2011, Forbes reported that 52% of folks had seen (or been) a co-worker who gets a little too sloshed at a holiday work party. It's all fun and games until the next morning when that all-too-familiar post-party headache rolls in — Ho Ho Hangover.

Luckily, actively hydrating while drinking is one of the easiest, most effective ways to stave off a hangover, notes Healthline. Hangover symptoms include headache, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, and thirst — which happen to be the same primary physical effects of dehydration, per the Cleveland Clinic. Yet, according to Dr. Jen Ashton via ABC News, 75% of U.S. consumers are "chronically dehydrated."

This year, as the holiday season starts rolling in, contemporary beverage giants Essentia Water and House Wine are joining forces to turn the tide and help reduce those holiday hangovers. (Step aside, eggnog. There's a new holiday bevy in town.)

No excuse not to hydrate

Introducing: the "Water & Wine Box." It's exactly what it sounds like. Split vertically down the middle, half of the box is filled with House Wine, and the other half is filled with Essentia Water, according to a press release. Per Delish, the box contains four bottles each of both red and white wine and 32 8-ounce cups of water. In total, the box is outfitted with three different spouts: one for Essentia water, one for House Wine's sauvignon blanc, and one for their red blend. Zola Kane, chief marketing officer at Essentia, says it's a one-stop-shop. "In a season full of spirit — and well, spirits — Essentia is excited to partner with House Wine to bring you this Water & Wine box," Kane says (via Food & Wine). "It's the perfect addition to any holiday table and makes staying hydrated while drinking wine easier than ever!" Indeed, at $45.99, the box is packed with two gallons of water and eight bottles of wine. Plus, as the brands themselves put it, "More hydration = more fun."

The Water & Wine Box is scheduled to hit the market on November 9. But, don't drag the heels of your party shoes if you want to get one. The product is a limited edition, and only available on House Wine's website while supplies last. But, whether you're planning a fall party or arranging a tray of Christmas shortbread cookies this holiday, hydration is an all-season crowd-pleaser.
