You Can Get Free Shake Shack This Weekend. Here's How
Cheeseburgers are great all year long, but there's something special about enjoying one on a warm night during the summer. And there's great satisfaction in cooking up a homemade burger, say modeled after Shake Shack, for yourself. But sometimes, you just want the real thing. Thankfully, according to Thrillist, Shake Shack will be offering an unbeatable deal; buy one get one free burgers. From September 9 to September 12, you can get one free burger with the purchase of a burger in the app or online using the code "BURGERBUDS." The deal is valid at 350 Shake Shack locations throughout the country.
The deal is only good for the company's signature ShackBurger. The burger is simple: an Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese, sandwiched between Martin's potato roll. The burger is completed with a slathering of ShackSauce. The sauce is a combination of ketchup, mustard, and "everything in between," Mark Rosati, Shake Shack's culinary manager, told Eater. No matter what the sauce is made from, the goal is to enhance the ground beef's flavor — and it delivers.
Shake Shack offers BOGO's frequently
According to Thrillist, Shake Shack's latest promotion is being offered to "squeeze in all the freshly grilled cheeseburgers you can before the end of the summer season." Think of it as an ode to the changing seasons as we move toward the winter months. In another step closer to the end of the year, Shake Shack has launched its fall seasonal apple cider donut shake and pumpkin pie shake.
This isn't the first time Shake Shack has offered a deal on some of its most loved items. At the end of 2019, Shake Shack offered a BOGO deal on burgers ordered through their app or website. The reasoning behind 2019's deal was to thank customers for the company's success (per Free Food Guy). From July 5 through August 31 of this year, Shake Shack offered a BOGO deal on its milkshakes. Every weekday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., customers who ordered a shake online or on the app received a second one for free. The deal was offered as a way to help beat the summer's heat by cooling off with a refreshing milkshake (via Living on the Cheap).
