This recipe was originally published as part of a menu in Tasting Table National. 

TT Test Kitchen Tip: If you don't have almond bitters on hand, use almond extract in place of the bitters.

Aperitivo di Latte di Mandorle

Yield: 1 cocktail

Cook Time: 5 minutes


2 ounces almond milk

1 ounce gin

¼ ounce orange liqueur

¼ ounce simple syrup (1:1 ratio sugar and water)

Dash of almond bitters


Sparkling water

Orange peel


1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the almond milk, gin, orange liqueur, simple syrup, almond bitters and ice. Shake until chilled and frothy, then pour into a cocktail glass. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a piece of orange peel, serve immediately.
