Pastries, Brownies, Sweets At Three Tarts Bakery | NYC

Three Tarts sells one-bite sweets at bite-size prices

When wallets start to thin, the sweetest things in life are the first to go. Fortunately, one Chelsea shop is creating artful amuse bouches for the sweet tooth on a budget.

Three Tarts Bakery + Boutique, named for the trio of pastry mavens who collaborated on the pink storefront, specializes in charming mini tarts, pint-size panna cotta and dainty petit fours. Beautifully composed confections like orange blossom-curd parfaits and banana ice cream sandwiches are turned out alongside comfort classics like Valrhona brownies and bread pudding. The sweetest part? They're all less than $3.50.

No need to tighten your belt for our favorite treats–if anything, you'll have to loosen it a bit.

Economy Crunch ($3 for 2.5 ounces) This pretty portion of caramel and dark chocolate popcorn is sweet and savory, thanks to the pink Himalayan salt sprinkled on top.

Lemon Curd Tart ($1.50 each) Encased in a buttery, fluted crust, the tangy filling is topped with a tiny meringue cookie.

Hibiscus Jewel ($2 each) Delicate hibiscus gelée sits atop a creamy coconut panna cotta for a sweet spring treat.

Marshmallows ($1 each) Dunk one of these oversize pillowy squares into a hot chocolate or grab a bag to go. We like the yuzu for its citrus-and-spice punch.
