Not feeling inspired by your usual dishes? Here's what's for dinner.

Fall is happening (yes, pumpkin-spiced lattes are back), and it's time to start thinking ahead to Thanksgiving. Don't worry, we're not suggesting you roast a 20-pounder or invite over hordes of relatives. Instead, put a twist on the holiday's staples like turkey, green beans and cranberry sauce for a meal that's even better than Christmas in July.

① Main Course: Provençal Turkey Kebabs with Grilled Lemon
Save the heavy lift for November and take your bird in skewers of small cubes instead. Season with a handful of fragrant herbs, and then squeeze in quality grill time before it's all roasting, all day.

② Side Dish: Green Beans and Mustardy Potatoes
With so many turkey accompaniments, space on your plate is prime real estate on Thanksgiving. Opt for this two-for-one dish, which gives you just-tender beans and roasted Yukon Golds all at once.

③ Dessert: Cranberry Scones
If you're haunted at night by visions of ambiguous jiggly fruit cylinders, these cranberry scones are the way to go. Though a bit of cranberry sauce (which, believe it or not, can be done right) wouldn't make a bad topping.
