- Andrew makes educational videos about the history and culture of food around the world for TikTok and Instagram under the name PassTheFlamingo. His TikTok channel was mentioned by Epicurious as "a great example of people who approach culinary obscura through a desire to understand rather than as an object to poke fun at."
- Since 2017, Andrew has given presentations on food history at the Brooklyn Brainery, as well as libraries, restaurants and other venues around NYC.

On his TikTok channel Pass the Flamingo, Andrew's videos about food history and culture have gained 5.6 million likes and over 200,000 followers. Andrew previously worked as an educator in museums and other education nonprofits, leading and developing tours for institutions including the Brooklyn Historical Society and the Museum of the City of New York. His food writing has previously appeared in Atlas Obscura and Eaten Magazine.
Education
Andrew's academic background is in ancient history and education, including a Bachelors in Classics from Bard College and a Masters in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education, both in New York state.
