Velveeta's New Nail Polish Will Make Your Fingers Smell Like Cheese

All you nail-biters out there, beware. If you're a cheese lover, your newest manicure might just be irresistible. Your fingers can now smell like one of America's most popular processed cheeses.

Yep, you heard that right. Velveeta, better known for queso, is entering the beauty products market. The processed cheese first made out of leftover cheese bits in 1923, per Smithsonian Magazine, is going to help you with your next makeover.

The Kraft Heinz Company announced in a press release on June 7 that it is releasing cheese-scented Velveeta Pinkies Out Polish in collaboration with Nails.INC. "Velveeta is known for its rich, creamy texture and cheesy, melty goodness, so what better way to bring this to life for our fans than with something equally as rich and creamy — nail polish," said Kelsey Rice, senior brand communications manager at The Kraft Heinz Company, in the press release. The company is encouraging fans of the cheese product to live "La Dolce Velveeta."

Liquid gold nail polish

The limited-edition nail polish will come in two cheese-scented colors, according to Kraft Heinz's press release: La Dolce Velveeta yellow and Finger Food red. You can buy the pair for $15 on the Nails.INC website or on Amazon. Customers can also get macaroni-inspired nail stickers to jazz up your cheesy manicure for $4.99. There are cheese drip stickers and signature shell stickers. The nail polish was also introduced on the official Velveeta Instagram account, where fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #LaDolceVelveeta.

Nails.INC touts that you can make your nails "look as smooth as Velveeta feels." But the company is warning all the nail-biters out there that, while the nail polish does smell like Velveeta's cheesy goodness, it "unfortunately" does not taste like the cheese. So if your dream is to have your nails smell like Velveeta, your dream has come true.
