Alton Brown 'Good Eats' Fall 2018

But first, he's going to revamp a handful of classic episodes

In a recent interview with Kara Cutruzzula for Time, Alton Brown discusses everything from his thoughts on creativity to why you won't see him buying an Instant Pot anytime soon. The story is filled with insight into the mind of everyone's favorite TV host, cookbook author and pop star, but if we had to get a tattoo of one of his quips, these three would be contenders:

① "Know-how beats devices." Brown isn't big on using kitchen tools as band-aid cooking remedies—which isn't too surprising, considering how many genius tips he has.

② "I live in a whirl of chaos." Just when we thought he couldn't be any more relatable.

③ "Good Eats: Reloaded will be out in the fall this year and then the new series, Return of the Eats, we'll completely reboot at the beginning of next year." OK, this one might be a bit too long to get tattooed. But it's the news we've been waiting to hear, so now we can stop wondering and get back to listening to that smash hit of a pop album he put out a couple months ago.
