When Does 'Seven Magic Mountains' End?

You have only until May to visit the Nevada installation

Vegas's 24-hour casinos aren't the only reason to road-trip to Nevada this year. One of the country's largest art installations is coming to an end, and you have only a few months left to take it in.

Travel just 10 miles south of the Strip for Seven Magic Mountains, one of the latest projects from renowned artist Ugo Rondinone. It's hard not to miss the seven towers of stacked Technicolor boulders, which have been in place since May of 2016.

"Seven Magic Mountains elicits continuities and solidarities between human and nature, artificial and natural, then and now," Rondinone stated when the installation first opened.

Despite being five years in the making, the piece was intended to stay open for just two years, giving you until this May to visit. But if you don't have any plans to fly out to Nevada in the near future, you can (kind of) recreate a version of Seven Magic Mountains at home.
