Best Happy Hour In Flatiron, NYC
If NYC restaurants were music icons, Gramercy Tavern and Dante would be like Queen and David Bowie: Two heavy-hitting legends for which it was only a matter of time before they collaborated on a hit single.
That version of "Under Pressure" is finally here, in the form of Martini Hour, a weeklong takeover of Gramercy Tavern's casual dining room in Flatiron by Dante's creative director, Naren Young. He's bringing with him a full list of martinis for happy hour, including the Olive Oil Martini (olive vermouth, olive bitters and olive oil-washed vodka) and the Rose Petal (Hendrick's Gin, lychee, Peychaud's bitters and rose water). A large-format, tableside service is also available.
Gramercy Tavern's chef, Michael Anthony, is serving a special menu of bites to soak up all that liquor, in the form of crab salad with pepper sauce, a beef frittata and lobster with balsamic caviar. The happy hour is for the rest of this week only (through February 9), from 4 to 7 p.m.
