You don't need to waste time convincing us that wine and smoky barbecue make for a dynamic pairing. Instead, make room in your weekend plans for the latest installment of L.A.-based mag Glou Glou's barbecue and wine dinners.

Off the heels of its November launch, the down-to-earth wine resource is traveling around to L.A.'s best natural wine shops, with Ol'Skool BBQ riding shotgun. "The idea is to show, not tell," the Glou Glou team says. "Folks will learn what a solera Merlot is, for instance, through eating a rack of dry-rubbed Memphis pork ribs." Their next event is taking place this Saturday, January 20, at Bar Bandini, where you can spend the night enjoying California's best natural wines paired with unlimited brisket.  

And if you find yourself itching to hop in the back seat for the rest of their road trip, you can tag along as they make their way up the Central Coast, where their next event is taking place in San Luis Obispo.
