Innit Cooking App

Innit gives you step-by-step directions for navigating your way around the kitchen

Sometimes, the hardest part of cooking is deciding what to make. But that's just one of the many problems the founders of Innit, a new cooking app for iOS, are trying to solve.

Think of the visually stunning app as a culinary GPS that first starts with pointing you in the right direction—in this case, helping you plan what to make for dinner when opening the fridge for the umpteenth time hasn't worked. Unlike other apps that just provide an archive of dishes, Innit's goal is to help plan your entire week based off what you like to eat (or what happens to be in your fridge). After you've chosen your meals, the app will automatically compile an all-in-one grocery list.

The step-by-step cooking instructions include videos for every step, making it near impossible to get lost, no matter how bad your sense of direction is. Meanwhile, if you have a newer, Wi-Fi equipped home oven, Innit will send over instructions to start preheating as you're cooking. And just like Google Maps, it will even give your ETA for dinnertime.
