Throw A Tiki Party With Dole Pineapple Juice

This spirited celebration comes together in 10 minutes

Whether it's a "in town last minute!" text or a hectic week that got in the way of prepping for a get–together, sometimes you need a party plan that comes together fast. And, no, rescheduling is not the right move, especially when a tiki party can be assembled faster than you can whip up a frozen cocktail (to get yourself in a party frame of mind, of course).

First, make space for a bar area. If you already have a bar cart, you're already a step ahead of the game—position the cart next to the table where you'll set up glasses and cups, napkins, an ice bucket, and swizzle sticks or straws. If you don't have a bar cart, designate half of a picnic table (if outdoors), kitchen island or table (if indoors) for spirits and mixers. From there, settle upon a signature drink for the evening to cut down on setup. A Hawaiian Mule made with DOLE® Canned Pineapple Juice, vodka, ginger beer and lime fits the refreshing tiki theme.

Finally: the food. What could be more tiki than a pupu platter? The original Hawaiian party tray is meant to have a variety of fruit, veggies and protein. On a time crunch, you can easily throw one together using premade grocery store or takeout items; spareribs, edamame, shrimp cocktail and crudités look so much fancier when neatly arranged on a big tray. Have a little more time? Make a bowl of Pineapple Salsa and serve with tortilla chips. Watch the video above to see how to pour and plate your way to quick tiki party success.
