Most Instagrammed Spot In The World

The California theme park grabs the number one spot

If someone asked you to guess the most Instagrammed spot in the world, an exotic beach off the coast of Bali or the gorgeous Eiffel Tower is likely to come to mind. However, according to a new study by Travelbird, the location where tourists are most likely to snap a picture is actually located in the USA.

Disneyland in California surpassed the Eiffel Tower with more than 14.6 million hashtags used (the Paris tourist attraction received only 7.2 million). As a popular destination for families and tech-savvy millennials, it doesn't come as too much of a surprise that this magical place took the number one spot. The park is filled with countless photo opportunities, like the Magic Castle, and interesting eats.

Rounding out the top three is another resort and theme park—Walt Disney World in Florida, with 5.4 million hashtags reported.
