This February, we'll take our good news where we can get it: Starting Monday and running through the end of the month, Krispy Kreme will offer a free glazed doughnut to anyone who orders a coffee, Yahoo reports. New to the menu are Smooth, which has a lightly sweet finish, and Rich, which is a medium-bodied blend.

Last summer, Krispy Kreme was acquired by European coffee giant JAB Holding Company, which is owned by the same family who owns much of Pete's and Stumptown, so the update to the offerings shouldn't come as a surprise. It's also a way for the doughnut company to keep up in an increasingly competitive field. The move comes more than two years after Dunkin' Donuts added a dark roast to its offerings.

There's no limit to the number of times you can take advantage of the promotion, so if you get your daily coffee fix at Krispy Kreme, it might be a rather indulgent month.
