How To Cut A Lemon To Get The Most Juice

Tired of squeezing? Slice your citrus fruit like this

Cutting a lemon isn't rocket science, and juicing one isn't either. Still, there are a number of tips and tricks for getting every last drop out of your citrus—and they're worth your time. If you have a particularly stubborn lemon, for example, rolling it on the counter or sticking it in the microwave could help.

A post on Reddit reminds us of one more method for maximizing juice extraction, and it has to do with the way you cut the fruit.

For the most juice possible, don't slice your lemon in half. Instead:

Hold the lemon lengthwise and slice off two sides.

Keeping it vertical, with the ends in tact, slice off the other sides.

Squeeze each cut.

We tried this method, and it worked really well. Be warned: There's no way around getting your hands messy with this trick.

Of course, that's not the only way to slice a lemon for more juice. Some suggest you cut it lengthwise, instead of in half. Others suggest you slice it into three parts. Whatever you do, give this method a try and see what you think. You may never look back.
