Martha Stewart Just Entered The Meal Kit Market
If you were wondering if meal kit delivery was a passing trend, the latest player to join the game will make up your mind. Meal kit cooks, make way for Martha Stewart.
The godmother of lifestyle, Stewart herself has teamed up with meal kit delivery company Marley Spoon. The company will now be known here in the U.S. as Martha & Marley Spoon, and will utilize Stewart's vast database of recipes, bringing Stewart one step closer to your kitchen.

Customers can order a two-person box between two and four times a week. Currently, dinner for two costs $13 if you sign up for two boxes a week, and $41 if you order four boxes. Family packages, which serve two adults and two children, are also available.
Although Mark Bittman recently left vegan meal kit Purple Carrot, the industry is alive and well. According to research group Technomic, home cooks spent over $1 billion on meal kits alone last year, and the industry is expected to grow tenfold over the next five years in the U.S. Even the New York Times recently launched its own service. Really, it was only a matter of time until Stewart hopped on board this booming trend. After all, is there anything she doesn't do?
