  • ½ cup brown rice syrup
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • Dash of shoyu soy sauce
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • ½ cup crushed almonds
  • ¼ cup finely crushed She Sell Seaweed kelp
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° and place a rack on the upper third of the oven. In a small saucepan, heat the syrup, oil and shoyu until the mixture foams. Add the sesame seeds, almonds and kelp and stir thoroughly.
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour half of the mixture onto each baking sheet and press down lightly with a spatula. Cover the sheets with additional pieces of parchment paper and, using a rolling pin, roll the mixture out until it's flat.
  3. Bake the kelp, one sheet at a time, for 10 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and let cool until set, about 5 to 10 minutes. Peel away the parchment paper, break the sesame kelp sheets into pieces and serve.
