Sesame Kelp Treats

Ingredients
- ½ cup brown rice syrup
- ¼ cup canola oil
- Dash of shoyu soy sauce
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- ½ cup crushed almonds
- ¼ cup finely crushed She Sell Seaweed kelp
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350° and place a rack on the upper third of the oven. In a small saucepan, heat the syrup, oil and shoyu until the mixture foams. Add the sesame seeds, almonds and kelp and stir thoroughly.
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour half of the mixture onto each baking sheet and press down lightly with a spatula. Cover the sheets with additional pieces of parchment paper and, using a rolling pin, roll the mixture out until it's flat.
- Bake the kelp, one sheet at a time, for 10 minutes or until golden. Remove from the oven and let cool until set, about 5 to 10 minutes. Peel away the parchment paper, break the sesame kelp sheets into pieces and serve.
