Ingredients
- For the Cucumber Simple Syrup
- 1 medium (2 cups) cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- For the Cocktail
- 1½ ounces Hangar 1 Vodka
- ¾ ounce Aperol
- ½ ounce Lillet Blanc
- ¼ ounce cucumber simple syrup
- ¼ ounce fresh lemon juice
- Ice
- Lemon twist, for garnish
Directions
- Make the cucumber simple syrup: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cucumber and sugar and let sit for 1 hour to release the juices from the cucumber. Add the water and toss. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge overnight. Strain the simple syrup through a fine-mesh strainer and set aside. Discard the cucumber. Makes 2 cups.
- Make the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Hangar 1 Vodka, Aperol, Lillet Blanc, cucumber syrup and lemon juice. Add the ice and stir for 20 to 30 seconds or until the shaker is frosty. Strain into a ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
