Ingredients
  • :::For the Citrus Simple Syrup:1 cup water1 cup granulated sugar3 ounces fresh lemon juice1½ ounces fresh orange juice1½ ounces fresh grapefruit juiceFor the Cocktail:1½ ounces gin¾ ounce citrus simple syrup½ ounce fresh lemon juice6 tarragon leavesIce2 ounces dry sparkling wineLemon peel, for garnish:::
Directions
  1. Make the citrus simple syrup: In an airtight container, combine the water and sugar, and stir vigorously; set aside. Stir the mixture every 5 minutes. After 20 minutes, the sugar crystals should be nearly fully dissolved. Stir in the lemon, orange and grapefruit juices. Set aside.
  2. Make the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, citrus simple syrup, lemon juice and tarragon. Add ice and shake vigorously until well chilled. Strain into a champagne flute or coupe and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon peel and serve.
