American 25 Cocktail Recipe

A patriotic twist on the French 75

Who doesn't love a Champagne cocktail? Already huge fans of the French 75, we tap Robert Simonson for his recipe for an American 25, which combines Scotch and apple brandy with bubbly Champagne. It's a refreshing sparkling cocktail that picks up complex flavors from smoky Scotch.

You can easily make this cocktail for a group by batching all the ingredients minus the Champagne and lemon twists. Then, when you're ready to serve, shake with ice and top with Champagne and a lemon twist.
