Summer Survival Guide Slushies
This summer, we're showing our blenders some love. And because a little booze never hurts, we'll be using said blender to spike everything from slushies to sorbet and snowcones.
Start with this foolproof adult slushie blueprint (see the recipe, below), then download our Summer Survival Guide for more ways to live the slush life.
Pour the following into a blender:
•1½ ounces simple syrup (1 part water and 1 part sugar, brought to a simmer and stirred until dissolved
•2 cups fresh fruit
•6 ounces base alcohol (gin, rum, tequila, vodka)
•2 ounces secondary alcohol (Campari, Cherry Heering, Grand Marnier, St-Germain, triple sec, vermouth
•2¼ ounces citrus juice
•18 ice cubes
Blend until smooth, pour and enjoy.
S'mores for dessert? That's child's play.
