Blue Hill Stone Barns Restaurant

Blue Hill Market launches

A dinner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns is a journey for nearly everyone.

The location is a remote one, in a tucked-away location in the Hudson Valley countryside.

It's definitely worth the trek–a recent meal there proved that the restaurant is as good as ever–but now, thanks to Blue Hill's recently launched online market, there's also a way to have a piece of the experience wherever you are.

In addition to the pickles, jams and honey that the restaurant already sells on premesis, the online store will carry an exclusive collection of tabletop pieces modeled after those in the restaurant's dining room.

For the launch, co-owner Laureen Barber worked with local artist Deborah Ehrlich and the restaurant's sommelier and general manager to create a line of decanters based on two antique pieces in the Blue Hill dining room. "Guests were constantly asking us to buy them," she says. "So we created something similar but more practical."

It's the first collaboration of what Barber hopes will be many more with artists and designers whose products will all be sold on the site.

Check in during the coming months for new additions, both edible and nonedible. As it turns out, you can take it with you.
