Kitchen Monki Organizes Your Recipes

A personal trainer for your recipes

It's easy, once you find them, to let recipes sit idle. Many promising dishes never evolve beyond the page thanks to scattered sources (cookbooks here, pages ripped from magazines there, not to mention the online plethora) and no way to organize them.

Kitchen Monki promises to aid you in that struggle. The new, free online tool acts as a safe-deposit box for all of your recipes, holding them until you need them. Upload your favorites from any source, or browse other users' collections and add desired recipes to your queue.

But storage is the least of this monkey's tricks; use the Meal Planner, another tool in KM's utility belt, to schedule meals based on recipes you've already got on your list. With the Meal Planner, you can lock in that scone recipe you've been meaning to try for brunch on Sunday morning.

Finally, the site will help you put together a shopping list based on your calendar–by meal, day or week, as appropriate–ready to print or send to your phone.

All that's left for you to do is cook.
