Farmers Market And Local Produce Delivery From Auntie Em's In Eagle Rock In Los Angeles

Auntie Em's brings the farmers' market to you

Some people just don't have time to stop and smell the peaches. That's why Terri Wahl launched Auntie Em's Delivery, a weekly service that brings the best of the local farmers' markets right to your doorstep. Eating healthily is rarely this easy.

Wahl and her team cherry-picks organic, seasonal produce each week to fill every order. Right now the insulated boxes (pictured) are bursting with fresh strawberries, fragrant nectarines and juicy pluots and melons, plus vegetables like squash blossoms, purple beans, lettuce and heirloom tomatoes.

Don't like okra or onions? Just say so–each box can be customized. You can even add prepared dinners like asparagus risotto with mint and lemon from Auntie Em's Kitchen, Wahl's Eagle Rock cafe and marketplace.

The boxes come in two sizes: Small ($42), which includes up to 15 different fruits, vegetables and herbs, and large ($62), which includes about 20. And the service has moved beyond the eastern neighborhoods like Eagle Rock and Silver Lake–Auntie Em's now delivers as far as Santa Monica and West L.A.

To get the most out of the produce, a different recipe is included every week. Here's one for Wahl's easy squash blossom quesadillas (pdf).
