The 2 Cookies Duff Goldman Loves To Bake In A Pinch

Duff Goldman is known for his elaborate and delicious creations like his "Star Wars" inspired cake that featured a giant R2-D2 robot that was made for its director George Lucas. However, when it comes to baking cookies Goldman likes to keep things a bit more simple. While there are fancy options like jam-filled varieties like Linzer and decorative ones like Pinwheel, Goldman told Insider his favorite quick recipes to whip up are his own concoctions.

He explained that his thin and crispy chocolate chip cookies are delicious and easy to make, along with a recipe passed down through generations. "Another perfect recipe that doesn't take long is this one for peanut butter cookies, which is adapted from a recipe from my grandmother's housekeeper, Atha," he recounted. "When I was growing up, she baked the most amazing peanut butter cookies in the world."

Here's what's in his crispy chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies

To make Goldman's version of chocolate chip cookies, it will take you less than 30 minutes. All you'll need light brown sugar, unsalted butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, salt, baking soda, and chocolate chips. Mix everything together and set your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and you're on your way to incredible-tasting cookies.

The "Buddy vs. Duff" star admits that while his adaptation of peanut butter cookies isn't as good as his grandmother's housekeeper Atha's, he's been told they are still pretty amazing, per Yahoo! News. "Maybe it's just eating a cookie made by somebody who loves you that makes them taste so good," he explained. Goldman's version of the cookie is made with butter, sugar, molasses, crunchy peanut butter, vanilla extract, eggs, baking powder, baking soda, kosher salt, and all-purpose flour. Then combine all your ingredients, set your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and you're on your way to some delicious baked goods that are Goldman-approved.
