Taco Bell's Fan Favorite Nacho Fries Are Returning With An Elegant Twist
Taco Bell is bringing its fan-favorite Nacho Fries back for a moment but with a unique (and spicy) twist, according to a Taco Bell press release. For those that don't know, Taco Bell's Nacho Fries are french fries with a spicy coating and a side of warm nacho cheese dipping sauce. For the new Nacho Fries, Taco Bell and luxury truffle hot sauce brand Truff joined forces to create a special hot sauce just for the fast food chain. Taco Bell actually tested some new items featuring the exclusive hot sauce in July 2021 at one California location, and it was exceptionally well received by the public, per Taco Bell. So, the fast-food chain decided to share it with the rest of the United States.
Regarding the collaboration, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer for Taco Bell Liz Matthews said, "The Truff team is truly changing the sauce game and we're thrilled to partner with them to bring our Nacho Fries to the next level in spice and innovation. Even though it's not for long, we can't wait for fans of both brands to try them and we're thrilled to bring our bold yet luxurious flavor experiment to everyone." Taco Bell x TRUFF exclusive truffle hot sauce spices up Nacho Fries
Per the press release, Taco Bell and Truff created a limited edition hot sauce that's a twist on Truff's Hotter Hot sauce. It's described as an "ultra-unique blend of real black truffles and red chili peppers with added creaminess to compliment the cheesiness of Taco Bell's menu" and is only available at Taco Bell. Seemingly trying to avoid the upset that happened when Taco Bell's Mexican pizza ran out, the fast food chain will have a Truff Tracker on its app so customers can track how much of the new hot sauce is left before supplies run out.
For two weeks (or until supplies last) beginning October 13, 2022, participating U.S. Taco Bell locations will have the exclusive hot sauce and new Loaded Truff Nacho Fries on the menu, which consists of marinated grilled steak, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and warm nacho cheese sauce on top of a heaping pile of Nacho Fries and finished with a drizzle of the exclusive Truff x Taco Bell hot sauce. The new item will sell for $4.49, but prices may vary depending on location. Using the Taco Bell app, customers can also spice up their favorite menu items by adding Truff sauce for $1. Once the Truff hot sauce supply is gone, the Nacho Fries will remain at select Taco Bell locations for a limited time, so you have a little longer to grab the fries.
