Your Wallet Is Probably Holding The Quick Fix To Bad Wine
BY JEN PENG
If your open bottle of wine smells like rotten eggs or burnt rubber, don't throw it away yet. Instead, clean an old penny and drop it into a glass or decanter with the wine.
Simply swirl it all around a few times, and remove the penny. That formerly stinky wine will smell, and taste, good as new.
Keep in mind that this trick will only work with bottles of wine affected by reduction. Moreover, only pennies made before 1982 will work, as they are made entirely of copper.
