Will Your Nespresso Machine Break Using Off-Brand Pods?

Given the intricate design of Nespresso machines, it's natural to wonder if some off-brand coffee pods can deteriorate the machine. However, the answer isn't really that simple.
It seems that even the Nespresso team has mixed opinions about this. When enquired, a Nespresso customer representative advised against using these products.
However, Nespresso's technical team intriguingly said they couldn't comment because they do not test the compatibility of competitors' products with their machines.
At the same time, the makers of many off-brand pods deny that their capsules could hurt the machine. All this shows that using off-brand pods may at least be worth a try.
