Why You Should Never Use A Ball Whisk To Stir Sauces
BY CATHERINE NYORANI
Making your meals a bit more saucy can be the secret to keeping dinner exciting and delicious. Just be sure never to use ball whisks to stir your sauce when cooking.
Ball whisks contain weighted balls at the end of their wire prongs, which can effectively reach into the corners of containers but don't help mix ingredients evenly.
Also, penetrating through thick sauces may be challenging as the wires move individually and are not strong enough to push through the heavier sauces and thoroughly mix them.
Instead, to properly mix every ingredient, try using a ball, French, or balloon whisk, all of which have ideal designs for sauces.
