Why You Should Be Making Your Next Iced Coffee With Orange Juice
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
For a summer twist in your morning cup of Joe, add a splash of orange juice. While it may seem odd at first, orange juice and coffee make a delicious combo.
The bitterness of the java balances out the bright acidity and sugar in the juice, giving you a light, refreshing beverage. Opt for pulp-free orange juice for a smooth drink.
For best results, cool the coffee before adding OJ. Start with half java and half juice or an almost full glass of OJ with two espresso shots, and adjust to taste.
While you can use any type of coffee here, the citrus notes in a blonde roast will pair beautifully with the orange flavor. Spruce up the drink even more with a splash of milk.
