Why You Need To Get Frozen Brown Rice Instead Of Cooking It Fresh
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
If you don't have a lot of time to cook meals, frozen brown rice is a great option over fresh. It's cooked before being frozen, so it only takes a few minutes to prepare.
Some brands of frozen brown rice can be cooked in just 3 or 4 minutes. Frozen rice also retains all its vitamins and minerals, making it just as nutrient-dense as the fresh kind.
One of the best parts of frozen rice is that you can often cook it in the bag it's sold in, then dump it into your dish. You can cook it on the stove if it works for your recipe.
Another bonus is that frozen rice is typically packaged into pre-portioned bags. You won't end up with too much leftover rice that might go to waste.
