Why Not Try A Chicken Soup Martini When You Have The Sniffles?
By SYLVIA TOMCZAK
The “brothtail,” a combination of soup and a cocktail, has been taking the internet by storm, thanks to both the healing effects of bone broth and the umami flavor combinations.
Invented by cocktail consultant Jazzton Rodriguez, who shared the cocktail on Very Good Drinks, the Chicken Soup Martini is a savory, umami cocktail with nostalgic flavors.
The cocktail is made with mirepoix-gin infused with celery, carrots, and onion, which is mixed with chicken bouillon brine, sherry, and a saline solution.
The cocktail is stirred over ice, strained into a glass, and topped with a dash of olive oil for a cozy cocktail with rich, umami notes of vegetables and chicken.
While a boozy cure for a cold might sound appealing, we regret to inform you that this cocktail won’t alleviate your symptoms, although it is likely to make you nostalgic.
