While some have theorized that Aldi's low-priced meat is due to it being low quality or past its sell-by or best-by dates, there are legitimate reasons why it's affordable.
These are often smaller businesses that offer high-quality meat. Since they're within the same region, the Aldi stores don't need to pay high transportation costs.
Aldi also sells its local meats under its own name, which saves itself (and the customer) from paying for both the meat and the "privilege" of carrying branded meats.
Other ways the store keeps its prices low include having a smaller, more efficient staff and stocking more private-label products than big commercial brands.
