Why Godiva Chocolates Closed All Its Stores In The US
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
In 2021, the luxurious chocolate company Godiva closed 128 of its cafes and stores in North America, which was due to a decline in in-person shopping caused by the Covid-19.
Godiva CEO Nurtac Afridi said, "We have always been focused on what our consumers need and how they want to experience our brand," in a statement given at the time.
Godiva had a huge presence in the U.S., but even with no more stores, products can still be found at a variety of retailers like Target, Walgreens, and Right Aid.
