British cake expert Paul Hollywood closed his The Paul Hollywood Artisan Bread Company in 2014, reportedly due to the celebrity part of his job taking over his actual baker part.
Hollywood first opened his artisan bread company in Kent, England in 2007 after studying traditional bread baking in Cyprus, Jordan, and Egypt, but closed just seven years later.
The celebrity chef himself admitted that the bakery had become a huge headache and massive problem, which he suggested was because he wasn't there enough.
Hollywood's television commitments prevented him from running the business. In 2019, his two other bread products were also pulled from Tesco due to lack of demand.
