Why Customers Aren't Excited About Costco's Free Water Bottles

As a free perk for membership auto-renewals, Costco offers a clear water bottle with a blue silicone covering featuring its logo. However, the aesthetics don't match the quality.
In posts to the unofficial Costco subreddit, one commenter noted they had a similar bottle that didn't insulate water well and had a cover that shrank in the fridge.
Another common sentiment was how tired members were of receiving reusable water bottles in general, as they have been offered to members who auto-renew for many years.
In the past, Costco offered more appealing freebies like cooler bags for signing up for the Costco Anywhere Visa card, as well as insulated tumblers and flasks.
