Why Costco Shoppers Hate The Rotisserie Chicken In A Bag

Costco's rotisserie chicken is a customer favorite, with over 137 million sold globally in 2023. However, the switch from hard plastic containers to bags has sparked complaints.
The chicken is known for its taste, convenience, and affordability but users on Reddit have complained that Costco’s new soft plastic packaging leaks, creating a greasy mess.
The new packaging is more eco-friendly as it uses 75% less plastic. Ironically, it requires customers to use extra bags to prevent leaks, countering the sustainability goal.
Despite these issues, there's hope for improvement, as Canadian Costco stores have successfully used these bags for about a year without leakage problems.
