Why Anthony Bourdain Stated Tuesday Is The Best Day To Eat Out
BY AUTUMN SWIERS
Chef Anthony Bourdain, an authority on the restaurant industry, once said that the best night to eat out is Tuesday, for a less crowded dining room and a fresher-tasting meal.
Bourdain wrote in his essay "Don't Eat Before Reading This", "the good stuff comes in on Tuesday: the seafood is fresh, [and] the supply of prepared food is new."
Not only is Tuesday the day that many restaurants get ingredients delivered, but the staff is less stressed and has better attention to detail without a hectic, packed dining room.
This ultimately means that you might get a better meal with shorter wait times. Bourdain also adds that you might even have a more special experience early in the week.
Bourdain told The New Yorker, "Chefs prefer to cook for weekday customers rather than for weekenders, and they like to start the new week with their most creative dishes."
