Where Do Costco's Lamb Chops Really Come From?
BY NIKITA EPHANOV
Costco’s lamb chops sell for as low as $5.99 a pound. The brand behind this deal is Swift Meats, which is owned by JBS Food Group, the biggest meatpacking company in the world.
Their Swift Meats subsidiary produces just about any meat imaginable other than chicken. Costco’s lamb chops are sourced from Australia and distributed through Swift Meats.
Although the lamb hails from faraway, it's still ensured to be as fresh and high quality as possible, which is a good sign for a tasty lamb chop dinner.
