Where Did Costco's Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars Go?

Costco removed hand-dipped ice cream bars from its food court menu without notice in 2013. It's speculated that it was due to a price hike in dairy and almonds.
Considering that Costco's ice cream bars were a generous dose of cream dipped in chocolate and covered in roasted almonds, it's possible the price hike carried over to its bars.
With no official answer from Costco, fans began to theorize. One Redditor said the bars were "a lot more labor-intensive" as they were dipped in several coatings.
Another user's theory is that the supplier behind the ice cream may have discontinued the bars. Whatever Costco's reason, we may never know why they terminated this treat.
